Savage Grappling – Kids Division Merging Policy

At Savage Grappling, the safety and wellbeing of all competitors is our highest priority.

To ensure that all children have the opportunity to compete, Savage Grappling reserves the right to merge kids divisions where necessary. Divisions may be merged based on:

• Age

• Weight

• Rank / belt level

• Experience and skill level

Any merge will be assessed by the Savage Grappling team with the primary consideration being whether the match-up is safe and appropriate for the competitors involved.

Parent/Guardian Approval

We understand that every parent or guardian may have different preferences regarding their child competing in a merged division.

If your child's division has been merged and you are not comfortable or happy with the proposed merge, please contact us before the event at:

We are always happy to discuss the proposed merge with you and, where possible, work with you to find a suitable solution.

Refunds

If we are unable to reach an arrangement that you are comfortable with, we are happy to offer a full refund of your child's entry fee.

Our goal is to provide a safe, fair and enjoyable competition experience for every child while giving as many competitors as possible the opportunity to step onto the mat.

Savage Grappling reserves the final decision on division merges, with competitor safety always being our number one priority.
